ذكرت تقارير صحفية إسبانية، أن جاريث بيل، جناح ريال مدريد لم يودع جميع زملائه في ريال مدريد قبل السفر إلى لندن.

وسافر الدولي الويلزي، اليوم الجمعة، تمهيدًا للانضمام إلى توتنهام الإنجليزي على سبيل الإعارة (طالع التفاصيل).

ووفقًا لبرمامج “El Chiringuito” الإسباني، فإن بيل لم يذهب لرؤية وتوديع زملائه في ريال مدريد قبل السفر إلى لندن.

وأضاف البرنامج: “غرفة تغيير الملابس في ريال مدريد تشعر بالراحة لمغادرة بيل”.

وأثار بيل عديد المشاكل خلال الموسم المنصرم بعدما خرج من خطط زين الدين زيدان، المدير الفني للفريق الملكي، وأبرزها التظاهر بالنوم خلال مقاعد البدلاء.

Liverpool were able to reclaim top spot in the Premier League following their 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford over the weekend, though pressure looks like it is starting to take its toll.

The Independent reports in detail Jurgen Klopp and Jordan Henderson’s touchline row following the England midfielder’s initial refusal to shake his manager’s hand after being substituted off.

Klopp, however, remains adamant that whatever pressure Liverpool are currently feeling is a positive kind. “Of course there is pressure. Actually, from my point of view, it is a very positive pressure, but I don’t have to play – I only sit here and say dumb things, so that’s easy,” the Liverpool boss told Sky Sports after the game.

Whatever the case, following their touchline incident, here are two potential replacements for Henderson as Liverpool captain should Klopp ever decide a change is needed.

Virgil van Dijk

There have already been calls from some sections of Liverpool’s support for Virgil van Dijk to be made club captain, and it is not hard to see why.

Van Dijk, who is currently the captain of the Netherlands national team, is a real leader at the back.

The 27-year-old can often be seen marshalling the rest of Liverpool’s defence while instructing goalkeeper Alisson when and where to play it short and when to get rid of the ball.

Ultimately, van Dijk is both the model central defender and leader. The former Southampton man looks destined to one day lead Liverpool as a permanent skipper.

James Milner

Already the vice-captain in the squad, Milner would probably be the natural choice as successor if it ever came to Henderson being stripped of the captaincy.

The 33-year-old has earned his stripes as vice-captain and certainly deserves to be in the conversation for the honour above given all of the experience he has amassed down the years as well as his displays on the pitch.

Milner works extremely hard whenever given the opportunity to play, making no complaints about being used as a makeshift right-back, left-back or wherever Klopp has deployed him.

If van Dijk is the model player when it comes to central defenders, then Milner is the model professional when it comes to all footballers.

By no means should Henderson be removed as Liverpool captain after a small incident such as the one at Old Trafford. But if he is — now or in the future — Liverpool have more than one player ready to come and step in.

Chronicle Live wrote on Friday about the relationship between Newcastle ace Miguel Almiron and Atlanta United goal machine Josef Martinez, so should the Magpies move for Martinez?

What’s the story?

As reported by Chronicle Live, Atlanta United striker Martinez is well and truly missing his partner in crime.

Martinez and Almiron tore MLS apart last season as Atlanta won their first championship, but Almiron joined Newcastle in January for a club-record fee of about £20m.

Martinez then signed a new contract with the American club, but celebrated his first goal of the season this week with the iconic celebration that he and Almiron shared.

The aforementioned report speaks very highly of the relationship between the two South American players, so should Newcastle use it to their advantage and try to sign Martinez?

Goalscoring machine

While there’s no doubt Almiron was a shining star in Atlanta United’s side last season, his stats are child’s play compared to those of his teammate.

Martinez scored a frankly ridiculous 35 goals in 39 appearances last year, taking his total during his time in Atlanta to 57 goals in 63 showings.

He scored three hat-tricks last campaign, and his pace, agility, low centre of gravity and feisty nature would appear to make him a perfect fit for the Premier League.

Rafael Benitez clearly wants to keep Salomon Rondon on Tyneside, but outside of the Venezuelan international the gaffer has very little to choose from up front. Rondon and Martinez have also played together at international level, so there is yet another connection to Tyneside.

Valued at £9m by Transfermarkt and having just signed a new contract, a summer move would not be cheap, but it would add yet another weapon to Benitez’s attacking ranks, which are slowly but surely catching up with the quality on offer in defence.

Chelsea were once again poor in the Premier League as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Wolves this afternoon.

The Blues had a last minute equaliser from Eden Hazard to thank for snatching a point, but overall it was another below par display from Mauro Sarri’s men, who are struggling to get any sort of consistency into their game of late.

The summer is going to be a massive one for Chelsea too, with the transfer ban placed on the club meaning the signing of new players will be firmly off the table come July and August.

However, there are still plenty of things Chelsea can move to do to sort out their form and general squad feeling, and we here in the Tavern think there’s some obvious things which need dealing with.

With that thought in mind, we took a look at TWO issues Chelsea need to resolve this summer to ger back to winning ways…

The future of Hazard

This has been rumbling on now for quite some time and despite his brilliance, it can’t be helping the club as a whole.

Sarri needs to plan for the coming seasons, and knowing if Hazard is going to be part of that plan or not is vital.

If he goes, it might be the end of a brilliant chapter, but at least Chelsea can move on and look to the future.

Defensive consistency

Any defence with David Luiz is going to get questions asked of it, but this season has highlighted his weaknesses even more.

Sarri needs to sort this out and quickly. With the option of bringing in a new defender something which is off the table, he’s going to have to use his coaching and planning skills to come up with a system which gets the best out of his defence.

If this is something which cannot be sorted, we can expect Chelsea to struggle once again come next term.

وأردف: “إذا كنا قد لعبنا مباراة سيئة للغاية ولكن يجب الحصول على حقوقنا، ثم يتم اللوم بسبب الاحتجاج على الحكام، وماذا يريدون منا؟”.

وواصل عضو المصري: “مشكلتي ليست مع لاعبي الزمالك ولكن في الظلم الذي وقع علينا، أعيدوا تشكيل االدوري كما تشاؤون دون أي مصاريف، ولن نتأهل إلى كأس العالم أو أي بطولة أولمبية بسبب هذا الظلم”.

أكدت تقارير صحفية فرنسية، أن نادي ليون، حسم أمر الثنائي ممفيس ديباي وحسام عوار، بشأن رحيلهما خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الجارية.

عوار كان هدفًا لعدد كبير من الأندية الأوروبية الكبرى، أبرزها يوفنتوس وآرسنال، بينما ديباي كان قاب قوسين أو أدنى من الانتقال إلى برشلونة بطلب من المدرب رونالد كومان.

إذاعة “RMC” الفرنسية، أكدت أن ممفيس ديباي وحسام عوار، مستمران في ليون، ويتواجدان في تدريبات الفريق مساء اليوم السبت، ولا مجال لمغادرة أحدهما عن ملعب الأضواء.

في البداية، تم تحديد الموعد النهائي لحسم أمر الثنائي من جانب جان ميشيل أولاس، أمس الجمعة، ولكن الإذاعة الفرنسية، أكدت من خلال تصريحات لمصدر مقرب من النادي، أن ممفيس ديباي كان يدفع الفريق للموافقة على رحيله إلى برشلونة.

لم تسمح المفاوضات لانتقال اللاعب، بعد وقت كبير في المحادثات بين برشلونة وليون، لكن تم اتخاذ القرار من جانب أولمبيك ليون، ليتوقف كل شيء.

It has been a pretty dismal few years for Sunderland. Not only did they drop down to League One from the Premier League consecutively, they even had a TV show made about their demise, only benefitting their bitter rivals Newcastle, who have been seen making jeers at their sorry neighbours. 

But! With all the negativity around the club in recent times, it may finally be time to see Sunderland climb up the Football League once more. Currently sitting third in the Sky Bet League One table, with a game in hand, the fate of promotion is in their own hands.

Should Sunderland fail to climb back into the Championship, the season may go down as their most disappointing of recent times.

Despite two relegations. That’s the kind of pressure we’re talking about.

So, on a weekend, let’s try and be positive! Indeed, even during the rough times, Sunderland have managed to capture a few names that have been pivotal in bringing good times, before and during the bad.

Aiden McGeady

Since joining from Premier League side Everton back at the start of the 2017/18 season. McGeady is one of the few faces to keep their place consistently during the drop. With the faith he has been given, he has proven to be the man they need this season.

Providing ten league goals, the 32-year-old was worth the money spent on him, despite fans worrying that he may be too old to compete with the draining demands of an EFL season. As well as he has done, it will be interesting to see if he can keep going next year.

Jermain Defoe 

Jermain Defoe alone was one of the huge reasons Sunderland stayed up in the Premier League during the 2015/16 season. Scoring THAT goal against bitter rivals Newcastle United lifted the entire club into a new survival mode, ultimately keeping them safe for another year.

The signing of Defoe was huge for a club like Sunderland, having a big name, English international playing upfront, especially in a team where goals came few and far apart.

It lifted everyone involved with the club and led them to one of the greatest ever survival runs the Premier League has seen. Good times.

مارادونا هو المدير الفني لفريق جيمناسيا لابلاتا، وقد عانق اللاعب لياندرو كونتين على مقاعد البدلاء واحتضنه، خلال المباراة الودية ضد سان لورينزو، التي أجريت يوم السبت الماضي.

والآن بعد أن ثبتت إصابة كونتين بـ فيروس كورونا، يُخشى أن يكون مارادونا قد أصيب أيضًا.

أجرى مارادونا على الفور مسحة طبية، لكن طبيبه الشخصي، الدكتور ليوبولدو لوك، أكد أنه “لا يعتبر حالة مشبوهة”.

وأوضح طبيب مارادونا، أنه في وقت الاتصال ارتدى المدرب القناع بشكل صحيح.

سيبقى مارادونا معزولًا في المنزل حتى نتيجة الاختبار، وبالتالي على الأرجح لن يكون حاضرًا على مقاعد البدلاء في مباراة السبت ضد إندبندينتي.

بالإضافة إلى كونتين، قرر الطاقم الطبي بالنادي أيضًا عزل إريك راميريز، الذي سافر بالسيارة مع المهاجم إلى ملعب سان لورينزو، رغم عدم ظهور أي أعراض عليه.
