أبدى أولي جونار سولشاير مدرب مانشستر يونايتد سعادته بعد تحقيق الفوز الصعب في مباراة الأمس على وست بروميتش ألبيون في بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

وفاز الشياطين الحمر بهدف دون رد، في الجولة التاسعة من البطولة، في الأولد ترافورد.

وقال سولشاير، في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “بي بي سي” العالمية: “من الجيد أن نحقق الفوز بعد انتهاء فترة التوقف الدولي، كنا بحاجة إلى هذا الفوز على أرضنا”.

وأضاف: “بدا أننا غير مستقرين قرب نهاية المباراة رغم أننا كان يجب أن نسجل هدفًا أو اثنين آخرين، طريقة إنهائنا الهجمات لم تكن جيدة بدرجة كافية”.

وواصل: “لم يكن مريحًا أبدًا اللعب ضد فريق يمتلك مثل تلك النوعية من اللاعبين، لقد اتيحهم لهم فرصتين وتصدى لهما دي خيا بشكل رائع”.

وتابع: “الأمر متروك لنا للمضي قدمًا ومواصلة تحقيق النتائج الجيدة، لدينا فرصة لمواصلة البداية الجيدة خلال مباراتنا المقبلة في دوري الأبطال، كما أن مباراتنا القادمة ضد ساوثهامبتون في الدوري صعبة للغاية أيضًا”.

وسجل مانشستر يونايتد هدف الفوز من ركلة جزاء سددها بنجاح برونو فرنانديز، ولكن بعد إعادتها.

وكان برونو قد سدد الركلة ولكن حارس وست بروميتش تصدى لها بنجاح، قبل أن تُعاد مجددًا بسبب تحرك الحارس عن خط المرمى.

وعن ذلك، قال سولشاير: “حدث الأمر نفسه مع دي خيا في وقت مبكر من الموسم عندما تصدى للكرة لكنه كان على بعد بوصة واحدة من خط المرمى، ربما تتمثل جودة أسلوب برونو في أن الحارس يتحرك في وقت مبكر جدًا، ولكن يجب القول أن حارس وست بروميتش (سام جونستون) تطور كحارس جيد”.

تحدث وليد سليمان لاعب فريق الكرة بالأهلي، عن مباراة نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا التي جمعت بين القلعة الحمراء وغريمه التقليدي الزمالك.

توج الأهلي بلقب دوري أبطال إفريقيا للمرة التاسعة في تاريخه، بعد فوزه على الزمالك بهدفين مقابل هدف، في المباراة التي جمعت بينهما على استاد القاهرة.

وقال وليد سليمان في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “الأهلي”: “مباراة الزمالك كانت صعبة جدًا ولكن اللاعبين كانوا رجالًا وكنت بمثابة مشجع للفريق”.

وأردف: “كنت مرتبكا أثناء تشجيعي في المباراة بسبب بعض الكرات على مرمانا، ولكن الحمد لله على الفوز وتحقيق البطولة لجمهور الأهلي وكنا نستعد لها منذ عام”.

وأكمل: “نتيجة المسحة الأولى التي خضعت لها كانت سلبية وأجريت مسحة ثانية اليوم والنتيجة ستظهر غدًا”.

واختتم: “حزنت بشدة بعد اكتشاف إصابتي بفيروس كورونا وحاولت تناول أي شيء يٌعجل بشفائي لخوض نهائي أبطال إفريقيا”.

يذكر، أن وليد سليمان تغيب عن مباراة الأهلي والزمالك بسبب إصابته بفيروس كورونا بجانب زميليه صالح جمعة وأليو ديانج.

Forgetting the obvious need for a striker who can find the back of the net (how long have we been having to say that for?!), West Ham United are arguably short of a playmaker that can pull the strings in the middle of the park.

Manuel Lanzini is an excellent option to have and, if he is fit for the whole campaign, could make a huge difference for the Hammers, however, the club do not have many options after him should he be unavailable for spells at a time.

So, it would certainly be wise for Manuel Pellegrini to try and bring one to the London Stadium.

And, one of his latest rumoured targets could be a good fit for the Premier League outfit this summer.

Ever heard of Cristian Portugués Manzanera? Maybe you’ll know him simply as Portu? Well, he is thought to be on West Ham’s radar this summer, if a report by Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness) is to be understood.

They claim the Hammers (and 12 other sides including Brighton and Hove Albion – he must be good!) are interested in the Girona playmaker as he is one man that is expected to leave the club following their relegation from La Liga this season.

A natural thought that would run through the mind is a question that might ask why he would be any good for the Irons if he suffered relegation this summer, however, you would only have to look at his contributions for a side that struggled and see the ability he has.

Portu, who is valued at £9million by Transfermarkt (although he could be worth less than that now), still managed to score nine goals and provide three assists for his team-mates in 34 top-flight appearances.

Those figures have to be considered rather impressive when he plays as a central attacking midfielder, however, the 27-year-old does have the versatility to be able to play in any position in the midfield and forward line.

With West Ham supposedly having a rather low transfer budget this summer (Football.London) and with a number of areas within the squad that require upgrading, Portu could become an excellent addition to the Hammers and could turn out to be a great fit at the London Stadium.

As January arrived, it really looked like Chelsea were going to lose one of their brightest prospects in Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 18-year-old seemingly wanted out, with Sky Sports reporting back then that he had handed in a transfer request as Bayern Munich circled.

Clearly frustrated by a lack of game time and with his contract set to expire in 2020, Hudson-Odoi’s future looked to be away from Stamford Bridge.

Fast forward to the present, though, and that appears to be anything but the case. With outlets such as the Evening Standard reporting that he is close to putting pen to paper on a new five-year deal, the England international is now almost certain to play a gigantic role in SW6 for years to come.

With his talent and scary potential, the above can only be seen as an extremely promising development and one that Chelsea fans undoubtedly need and deserve.

With both Maurizio Sarri and Eden Hazard heading for the Stamford Bridge exit door (The Telegraph), it is time for supporters of the west London club to finally receive some positive news. And they have got just that with the Hudson-Odoi update.

The Chelsea academy product looks more than capable of coming in and replacing Hazard on that left-hand side with his dribbling and ability to cut inside. Bearing that in mind and the fact that Willian and Pedro are not getting any younger, losing Hudson-Odoi would have come as a huge blow.

It is something, however, that the Chelsea faithful no longer have to worry about, with everything now pointing towards Hudson-Odoi remaining at Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old had a game to forget against Switzerland, spurning several opportunities in front of goal; a stark contrast to his lethal scoring form this season under Pep Guardiola.

In 51 games across all competitions, Sterling struck the back of the net an incredible 25 times, and provided a further 18 assists too. Having won the PFA Young Player of the Year award, the England international will fancy himself to kick on again next season, as City look to claim a hat-trick of Premier League crowns.

With the European Championship coming up at the end of the following season, Sterling will surely be one of the main men the country relies on to fire them to glory.

حلل المدرب المساعد السابق للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي برشلونة، إيدير سارابيا، فترته داخل العملاق الكتالوني والتي بدأت في شهر يناير وحتى أغسطس 2020.

وتواجد سارابيا كمساعد للمدير الفني، كيكي سيتين، لفترة 7 أشهر فقط لم ينجح فيها برشلونة في حصد أي بطولة وخرج من دوري أبطال أوروبا بنتيجة مذلة من بايرن ميونخ 8-2.

Charlton completed their first business of the summer transfer window on Monday as they announced the signing of Macauley Bonne from Leyton Orient, with the red-hot striker having joined the Addicks for an undisclosed fee and on a three-year deal.

The jump from the fifth to the second tier shouldn’t be underestimated and there’s no guarantee that the 23-year-old will be able to replicate his recent goalscoring exploits going forward but that doesn’t mean expectations at SE7 aren’t high. Head of recruitment Steve Gallen has indicated that he may have a lot to live up to in Charlton red.

What did he say?

Well, speaking about the new addition whom he has had an eye on for two years, Gallen said:

“Macauley’s been part of the team that won the National League, and he’s scored a lot of goals and as I say he’s someone who we’ve been watching for a while. The manager and I talked about him in January as a potential replacement for Karlan (Grant) at that stage to see if we could do it. We couldn’t at that stage, but we’re now really pleased to get him.”

Gallen admits that Bonne has been on their radar ‘for a while’ so they will be undoubtedly pleased to have finally got him through the door, but can he match the output of Grant?

Grant departed The Valley in January when Huddersfield came calling for his services and left Charlton with a lot to do in the second half of the season without his goals – the speedster had notched 14 already by that point.

Fortunately for the Addicks, Lyle Taylor’s form and a stellar run-in saw Lee Bowyer’s side reach Wembley, where they would go on to beat Sunderland in dramatic fashion, thus sealing their promotion to the Championship.

With Igor Vetokele released, it was clear Charlton needed a striker to line up alongside Taylor next term and, having netted 23 times for the O’s last season, Bonne could prove a shrewd signing – but can he match Grant, as Gallen and Bowyer surely hoped he might when they looked as him as a replacement for the Englishman five months ago?

Only time will tell, but it definitely won’t be easy.

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths could return to action with the first-team as soon as next week, when the Hoops play Austrian side FC Pinkafeld in a friendly, according to The Scottish Sun.

What’s the story?

Griffiths has been out of action since December after taking a hiatus from the game to focus on off-the-field personal issues.

The striker returned to gym work a couple of months ago in preparation for pre-season and the hard work appears to have paid off, with assistant manager John Kennedy providing a hopeful update after initial training sessions this week at Lennoxtown.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, Kennedy said:

“Leigh has trained the last three days.

We did a medical screen and a football session on Monday, a double session yesterday and a single session this morning.

He’s trained every minute of every session so that’s a very positive start for Leigh.

He’s had a tough time in the last six months or so, so this is an important time.

He has worked hard. In the latter part of last season he was doing a lot of individual work, to get back that base that he had lost.

Now it’s all about minutes on the pitch and being on the grass. Again, he has started very positively.”

The paper say that he is now in line to feature during Celtic’s upcoming friendlies in Austria and Switzerland, as the team prepare for important European qualifiers next month.

What can Celtic fans expect from Griffiths?

Patience will obviously be required with the striker considering he hasn’t kicked a ball in over six months and has had personal problems. Celtic will need to ensure his return to action, in the most important and pressurised games, is a slow build.

His return will be a welcome boost to the squad though, with currently only the injured Vakoun Bayo registered as back-up to the team’s main man Odsonne Edouard.

Griffiths almost guarantees a good return of goals if given the games to provide them, netting 104 in 203 appearances for the Hoops, and if he can get back to playing confidently then Neil Lennon has a real dangerous weapon at his disposal, perhaps negating the need to enter the transfer market for another striker.
