Ryan Kent helped Glasgow Rangers run riot over Aberdeen at Ibrox as Steven Gerrard’s side moved 11 points clear of the top.

What’s the word?

According to Football Insider, Rangers want to offer Kent a brand new deal before the winter transfer window opens to fend off any interest from elsewhere, as Leeds United reportedly remain interested in signing their long-term target.

The 24-year-old’s four-year deal with the Gers is running down, and it remains to be seen if they will be able to reach an agreement with his representatives, as he has recently switched agents.

With the Bears rebuffing a bid from Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the summer, Ross Wilson can end any transfer speculation once and for all by convincing Kent to sign a new contract.

Trump card

Rangers signed the left winger from Liverpool on a permanent basis for £7m in 2019 after he impressed the 54-time Scottish champions in a successful loan spell, having scored six goals in 43 appearances in all competitions during that time.

Since then, Kent has become Gerrard’s not-so-secret weapon as the Ibrox boss bids to stop Celtic from winning ten in a row.

The former England U20 international, who reportedly receives a weekly wage worth £18,000, has been in red-hot form in recent weeks, providing one goal and two assists in his past two games in the Premiership, via Transfermarkt.

Wilson would be wise to give Kent a new deal as not only is he a potent attacking threat, but he is really Gerrard’s only reliable option on the left wing, having started every single one of the fifteen fixtures in the top flight this term.

His former boss and current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praised the Rangers star as a “wonderful player” last summer, telling Liverpool TV: “Ryan had sensational moments in the Sevilla game – one-on-one situations are his big strength.

“He is a wonderful kid, a wonderful player.”

High praise indeed from a manager who is widely considered to be one of the very best in the game.

Keeping this calibre of player at Ibrox is exactly what Gerrard will need to take his team to the next level. Tying him down to a new deal would be an extremely smart bit of business. Get it done, Gers.

يراقب نادي باريس سان جيرمان، وضع المصري محمد صلاح وتطورات محادثات تجديد عقده مع ليفربول الإنجليزي، لكن هناك عقبات أمام النادي الفرنسي.

باريس سان جيرمان ينظر إلى محمد صلاح كخيار حقيقي لخلافة كيليان مبابي الذي ينتهي عقده مع النادي الفرنسي بنهاية الموسم الجاري ولم يصل لاتفاق بشأن التجديد.

وينتهي عقد صلاح مع ليفربول بنهاية الموسم القادم، ومن المتوقع أن يواصل المصري النقاش مع ناديه الإنجليزي بشأن تمديد العقد، وذلك وسط اهتمام من جانب برشلونة أيضًا بالتعاقد معه.

وبعث صلاح برسالة ذات مغزى في أكتوبر الماضي خلال مقابلة مع شبكة “سكاي سبورتس” بشأن مستقبله مع ليفربول، وقال: “كم من الوقت أرى نفسي هنا في ليفربول؟ إنها لا تعتمد علي”.

وتابع حينها: “لكن إذا سألتني، فأنا أحب أن أبقى حتى آخر يوم لي في كرة القدم، لكن لا يمكنني قول الكثير، فالأمر ليس في يدي، هذا يعتمد على ما يريده النادي، وليس علي”.

وعلى الرغم من عدم ملاحظة أي تقدم ملموس في ملف تجديد عقد صلاح مع ليفربول، وبشكل أكثر تحديدًا على مستوى تمديد عقده الحالي حتى يونيو 2023، فإن الريدز لم يتخلوا عن الأمر، ويواصلون عملهم من أجل تحقيق هذا النجاح.

وبحسب “le 10 sport” الفرنسي، في الوقت نفسه، سيراقب باريس سان جيرمان التقدم المحرز في هذا الملف، لسبب محدد للغاية.

Wolves’ decision to sell Diogo Jota this summer did raise a few eyebrows, but at the very least, they may have received their next Conor Coady in return.

The Portuguese destroyer swapped Molineux for Anfield in a £45m deal in September with the Old Gold managing to clinch promising young defender Ki-Jana Hoever for just £10m, as per Sky Sports.

However, the 18-year-old sensation is yet to make a start in the Premier League for the club, though he has come off the bench against West Ham and Fulham.

Hoever has also featured twice for the U23s in the EFL Trophy, both of which the young Wolf Pack side won.

Despite being utilised primarily as a right wing-back throughout his short career to date, it is thought that the teenager will be bred into a centre-back by Nuno Santo.

He’s got a proven track record of doing that too with former Reds’ midfielder Coady becoming the ball-playing defender in this current system.

You could also argue the same for Romain Saiss, who has filled in both centrally and on the left when injuries have struck.

Upon his arrival, Wolves chairman Jeff Shi waxed lyrical about his potential, he said: “Ki is a young player who can play both centre-back and right-back, with high potential to become a top footballer. Ki is a talent we have bought for the long-term future, but can also give the first team a fresh and potent option immediately.”

Whilst The Athletic’s Liverpool correspondent James Pearce’s comments further emphasise why Nuno should trust him long-term through the middle, claiming that the young colossus was “exceptional” against Paris Saint-Germain back in November 2018.

The £6.3m-rated Dutchman signed a five-year deal when arriving in the Midlands this summer, so he’s clearly going to be one for the future and by the time that contract enters it’s final years, Coady will be entering the twilight years past 30.

Therefore, Nuno must slowly groom Hoever into the role just like he did with the Englishman when first arriving on the scene in 2017.

Reds academy director Alex Inglethorpe once claimed that the emerging starlet was “obsessed with getting better,” so that’ll bode well for Nuno’s chances of successfully pulling this off.

If that’s the case, then Molineux could well be in safe hands post-Coady.

Toda a receita que o Allianz Parque gera para a WTorre é usada para pagar o Banco do Brasil por um empréstimo de R$ 350 milhões feito durante a reforma – o preço total da obra ficou estimado em cerca de R$ 680 milhões. O valor recebido até agora não foi divulgado, mas a operação da arena em 2015 foi superavitária e considerada um sucesso. A dívida com o Banco do Brasil, portanto, diminuiu de forma satisfatória. Mas está longe de ser paga.

A empresa tem sobrevivido com o dinheiro gerado por outros empreendimentos. Já era sabido que os valores vindos do estádio só viriam de fato após a quitação dessa pendência, mas a WTorre esperava conseguir um novo empréstimo para as despesas da operação da arena. A situação do país, porém, fez com que esta nova operação não fosse aprovada. A busca agora é ter uma linha de crédito fora do país.

É por isso que a WTorre deixou de pagar diversas empresas que prestaram serviços no Allianz Parque. Na semana passada, a Revista Época revelou que há 367 protestos por dívidas registrados em cartório, em valor aproximado de R$ 15 milhões.

Pessoas ligadas à construtora confirmam que várias dívidas estão em aberto, mas ponderam que o momento mais crítico da crise financeira foi entre agosto e setembro do ano passado e que os principais parceiros estão sendo chamados para equacionar os débitos. Há casos, porém, em que a WTorre contesta o valor cobrado porque o serviço entregue não teria sido como combinado.

O Palmeiras fica com toda a renda líquida de seus jogos, o que já gerou mais de R$ 55 milhões desde a inauguração do estádio. Já os principais ganhos da WTorre vêm dos naming rights, aluguel da arena para shows e outros eventos, venda de camarotes e venda de cadeiras.

O clube julga que a construtora tem o direito de comercializar 10 mil cadeiras – parte delas começou a ser negociada em 2015, com sucesso –, enquanto a empresa diz ter poder sobre todos os assentos. Essa discordância na interpretação do contrato é discutida na arbitragem desde o início de 2014.

WTorre x principais parceiras

Traffic -Empresa atuou como uma espécie de imobiliária na venda de camarotes e tem direito a comissão a cada contrato firmado. Mas o envolvimento da Traffic no escândalo de corrupção na Fifa fez a WTorre romper a parceria. A Traffic acredita ter direito a receber valores correspondentes até o fim dos contratos já assinados pelos camarotes, mas a WTorre alega que precisará encontrar um novo parceiro para executar o serviço de pós-venda que a Traffic faria e contesta o valor, embora já tenha sido condenada pela Justiça a pagar mais de R$ 2 milhões.

AEG -A WTorre considera que a empresa não conseguiu entregar o que prometeu. A ideia da parceria era que a AEG trouxesse um modelo de gestão inspirado em arenas de outros países, além de ajudar na busca por patrocínios e eventos. Pessoas da construtora ouvidas pelo L! dizem que o trabalho foi satisfatório antes da abertura do estádio – foi a AEG quem intermediou a venda dos naming rights para a Allianz –, mas que a relação “engasgou” depois disso. A WTorre, portanto, quer renegociar o valor a ser pago e diz que a parceria não está desfeita.

Construtora não teme a falência

Apesar da crise, a WTorre nem considera a hipótese de fechar as portas. Caso isso acontecer durante a vigência do contrato com o Palmeiras, que tem mais 29 anos, o Banco do Brasil assume o Allianz Parque por ter um valor a receber da construtora pelo empréstimo feito para a reforma.

Entre os prestadores de serviço que cobram dívidas da WTorre, há quem tenha entrado com pedido de falência. Já houve acordo com eles. Crise à parte, a empresa está construindo um porto no Maranhão e um teatro anexo ao shopping JK Iguatemi.

After completing a perfect Europa League group stage campaign with a 4-2 win over Dundalk on Thursday, Arsenal return to Premier League action when they take on Burnley on Sunday evening.

The Gunners have made a terrible start to the top-flight, struggling to pick up wins, and not even managing to click going forward – ahead of the game against the Clarets, they have just 13 points from their opening 11 games and scored just ten.

Mikel Arteta will be desperate to pick up a win ahead of a busy Christmas period, and with Burnley starting the game in the bottom three of the Premier League, it may give them the perfect chance to do so.

Below is a look at how the Gunners might line up on Sunday night.

After making wholesale changes for the clash against Dundalk, Arteta is likely to revert back to a stronger looking eleven, with Bernd Leno restored as the side’s number one goalkeeper.

And having gone back to a back-five on Thursday, the Arsenal boss may stick with that against Burnley, with the formation of course serving them well in winning both the FA Cup and Community Shield over the summer.

That could see David Luiz, Gabriel and Kieran Tierney line up as the central defensive trio, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Hector Bellerin on either side at wing-back.

In midfield, Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka could rekindle the partnership that dominated towards the end of last season, especially with Thomas Partey of course going off injured against Tottenham last weekend.

And in a front three, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette could be joined by Emile Smith Rowe, who looked likely against Dundalk and can provide a more creative option.

– Falar o mesmo idioma (espanhol) fica mais fácil para entender o que ele quer dentro do campo. Acompanhei o trabalho dele no San Lorenzo (ARG). Foi muito bem, é um cara que tem bastante tática, gosta de parar e explicar. Vai dar muitas alegrias ao São Paulo – afirma, para logo completar sobre ser titular:

O que mais gosta no Brasil?

Eu gosto muito de pão de queijo, lá em Belo Horizonte tinha muito. Isso mesmo que eu curto aqui, a comida. As pessoas são muito gentis conosco, isso é legal também, têm me recebido muito bem. Isso é importante para eu conseguir me acostumar e curtir um pouco com a família fora de casa.

Tem algo que não goste?

Por enquanto, não achei nada que de fato não goste. Me dou bem por aqui.

Qual sua análise da pré-temporada no São Paulo até aqui?

Aqui dá para ver os outros companheiros trabalhando forte também, isso é bom, é bom para o time que todo mundo esteja bem e preparado para entrar em campo. Isso faz o nível do elenco ir subindo.

Já pôde conversar com Lugano?

Eu gosto muito de chimarrão, mesmo que no Chile não tenha tanto, então quando Lugano chegou ele trouxe, dividiu com Centurión e eu também tomei. Acho que é legal isso, dividir a cultura, faz a gente se entrosar.

Whilst Smith has opted to go with a 4-2-3-1 this season, the arrival of Wilson could potentially have seen him unleash an unstoppable strike force harking back to the old days of the Premier League.

Goals win you games after all. And Villa would have had two strikers who could guarantee you it.
