ويُشارك المنتخب التونسي في البطولة للمرة السادسة في تاريخه، ليتواجد في صدارة أكثر المنتخبات العربية المشاركة في كأس العالم عبر التاريخ، بجانب السعودية والمغرب.

وتأهلت كتيبة المدير الفني جلال القادري إلى كأس العالم، بعد أن تصدرت المجموعة الثانية في التصفيات الإفريقية، وفازت على مالي في المباراة الفاصلة بهدف دون رد، في مجموع مبارتي الذهاب والإياب.

ويقع نسور قرطاج في المجموعة الرابعة إلى جانب منتخب فرنسا حامل اللقب، وأستراليا والدنمارك.

Matic made the move to United back in 2017 from Chelsea in a deal worth over £40m. Since then, the holding midfielder has gone on to make more than 180 appearances for the Red Devils, with 27 of those coming this season.

His current contract still has over 12 months left to run, however, Matic has now announced that he will leave the club over the coming months.

South Australia pushed the much-fancied Mumbai Indians to the brink of elimination after a pulsating match in Durban, pulling off a massive chase to make it two wins in two and get a toehold on a place in the final four. In a game filled with frenetic scoring, Mumbai’s abysmal fielding gifted the opposition plenty of lives and free runs, which proved to be the major difference between the two sides.Mumbai seemed overwhelming favourites when Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo were dancing to the music after Pollard mowed Shaun Tait for the biggest six of the tournament in the penultimate over. However, there were cameos to outshine the Trinidad duo, as a nerveless South Australia plundered 69 off the final 5.3 overs to snatch victory. The late fireworks would have been to no avail had it not been for the solid 112-run opening stand between Daniel Harris and captain Michael Klinger.With 41 needed off 18 deliveries, and with two new batsman at the crease, South Australia seemed headed for defeat. The choice for Mumbai was to go with either Bravo or the spinner Ali Murtaza. Sachin Tendulkar opted for Bravo, who was carted for three fours in his over by Dan Christian and Cameron Borgas. Still, Zaheer Khan removed Christian in the next over. Sidcley também brincou sobre seus apelidos. O preferido dele é “SidBale”, em referência a Gareth Bale, atacante do Real Madrid.

– É uma brincadeira, meus amigos ficam zoando. Fico feliz que todo mundo reconhece meu trabalho, espero que dê tudo certo. Eles falam mais SidBale, porque jogo na ponta – disse Sidcley.

Atualmente, a lateral esquerda do Corinthians tem sido ocupada pelo volante Maycon, que já avisou que pretende voltar a atuar no meio de campo. Juninho Capixaba, também contratado neste ano, perdeu a posição de titular.

Daniel Vettori, the New Zealand captain, has singled out Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan as the biggest threat for the visitors during the upcoming five-match ODI series in Mirpur.”We have seen the Bangladesh team improve”, Vettori said. “Obviously Shakib is probably their best player, so if we can nullify him we know we are going to win. He is a very good player, he has proven himself particularly in these conditions, so he is probably their main player.”Shakib, who is the vice-captain of the Bangladesh one-day team, is currently rated No. 1 in the ICC ranking for allrounders in ODIs. He has played 94 one-dayers, scoring 2465 runs and has picked up 109 wickets. Vettori, who is rated No. 5, said a comparison between him and Shakib was inevitable.”I think we have some similarity, we both bat down the order at the same position and we both bowl left-arm spin,” he said. “And Shakib was captain for a while, so there was some obvious comparison. The key for us hopefully is that we can play a role in our team winning. Obviously you want to try and out-think the opposition as much as you can.
